3 Tips For Planning Your Wedding Day Hair

a guest blog from the wedding pros at ANiU Salon & Spa in Middleton, WI!

Violet and Winona are experienced bridal hair artists from ANiU Salon & Spa with years of experience doing on-site and in-salon bridal styling. Your hair should add to your look, but not your stress level! Here are three key tips to ensure smooth sailing and less stress on your wedding day!

Make Decisions Early

The simplest path to figuring out your wedding hair is to book a trial! Even if your chosen style is simple, or you’re not very picky- having this key decision made in advance helps keep stress low. The morning of your wedding is a terrible time to learn that you hate how a French twist looks on you! Use your trial to figure out what type of style will work best with your hair type, face shape, and style of dress and whether you might want a new cut, color, or extensions to enhance your look.

Bring Reinforcements

We always recommend our brides designate a buddy to be on “hair duty” throughout the wedding festivities to help with any mishaps. No matter how perfect your hairstyle may be when you and your stylist part ways the morning of your wedding, life happens! Wind, humidity, or an errant zipper can all create problems, so it pays to be prepared! Keep a handful of bobby pins on hand, along with a favorite product or two for touchups. If all goes well, you won’t need any of it, but it’s better to be safe than sorry when it comes to the most photographed day of your life!

Relax and Have Fun

Most importantly, enjoy the process of creating the bridal look you’ve envisioned. Your wedding is one of life’s rare opportunities to go all out, so embrace spending time and energy on yourself- you deserve it!
