Today's featured wedding is Chris & Kate who were married last summer at Pioneer Creek Farm, LLC.
Tell us about your love story! We met on St Patty’s Day 9 years ago. We ended up talking for hours that night after everyone had gone home. He was going to propose at my pinning ceremony for my nursing school graduation but the ring wasn’t in yet. He proposed on my birthday (Christmas Eve) before we went to my family’s Christmas. I had no clue, which is interesting because he is ridiculously bad at keeping secrets.
Where did you get married? Pioneer Creek Farm, LLC
What is one thing you wish you knew when planning your wedding? My MIL and I did all the decorations, signs, tables. I wish I would have delegated a specific person/runner (not immediate family)to ensure certain things got done on the actual day. Everyone was so busy that we forgot to double check some of the little things and they weren’t done.
What advice would you give brides? Hire a 2nd photographer!!! Worth it! Also maybe try to cry before walking down the aisle. I was calm and cool as a cucumber all day, totally ready, but when the doors opened so did the floodgates. It was so emotional.
What was your experience like at Premiere Couture? Loved it! I had been looking forward to stopping during our girls weekend. Jerica was so nice. I appreciated that my bridesmaids could look through the dresses, one of them even found my dress! I love supporting small businesses and I tell my friends getting married that even though it’s a drive for us, it’s worth it.
What was your favorite moment of your wedding
Finally getting to stand with my now husband at the altar, holding hands. And....the cake, yum raspberry chambord!
