Real Premiere Couture VIP Bride: Hannah

Give us half a minute and we'll tell you how amazing our brides are. We get to meet the most amazing women all of the time and getting to be a part of their wedding journey is truly fantastic. We've asked Hannah to answer tell us about her experience as a bride and we think you'll see that our claim is true: our brides are the best brides.

Tell us about your love story! How did you meet? How did he propose? And any other info you'd like to include.

We both went to undergrad at UW-Madison and spent some time unknowingly skirting around each other at the same places, events, etc. It turns out most of our favorites and hang out spots were the same--even sharing the same stories, deducing we were often at these places at the same time. We had our first official date at Cask & Ale on State Street about a year after we graduated. He proposed on the boardwalk in Oconomowoc, which is the same place my parents got engaged! This was extra special because my engagement ring was my Mom's first wedding ring before she was surprised with a new one for an anniversary. :)

Where did you get married?

We got married in Barron County, in Northern Wisconsin. We originally had a venue that was a refurbished barn, but ended up getting married on Ethan's Grandma's property when we made changes because of Covid-19. It ended up being so much more sentimental and special this way.

What is one thing you wish you knew when planning your wedding?

That nothing is "right or wrong". We went against what was traditional in a couple of ways, but it made it all the more special and unique to us!

What advice would you give brides?

Do what YOU want to do! (with your partner's input too, I suppose ). Kind of like before, there's no right or wrong. Go with your gut on what feels right and is the best representation of your relationship. Also, take a breath. It all works out even when it feels like it might not.

What was your experience like at Premiere Couture?

Absolutely amazing! The only thing I wish was that I was there a bit longer! Lol. It was so effective and enjoyable that I found my dress right away! I purchased it in August of 2019 and it was truly one of the highlights, I love it more with each picture I see. My dress was FAR different than anything I said I wanted, but Marlie brought it over and I knew it was the one immediately. She was so kind and encouraging that even when it was only the second dress I tried on, she encouraged and reminded me that if I knew, I knew.

What was your favorite moment of your wedding?

There wasn't a moment that I didn't love, but I think my favorites would be our morning getting ready with the wedding party, our photos with the whole wedding party and definitely getting to dance to Walk Like an Egyptian with my Uncle!
